This year at the Santa Cruz County Fair, Big Creek Lumber hosted a raffle to benefit three local charities; Ag Against Hunger, Native Animal Rescue and Teddy Bear’s with Heart. We had a community effort behind this fundraiser: Big Creek donated the redwood materials, delivery and labor; Moran Nursery in Watsonville generously provided the succulents. Attendees of the Santa Cruz County Fair bought raffle tickets where all of the proceeds went to the three charities.
The garden set raffle prize winner was Anya Hobley, who donated the garden set to the non-profit, Camphill Communities California, where she is the Director of Client Admissions. We couldn’t be more excited that our charity fundraiser benefitted four wonderful local charities. Below is a picture of residents of the Camphill communities, caregivers, winner Anya Hobley and representatives from Big Creek Lumber. Below is the set with winner Anya Hobley.
Congrats to the winners at Camphill and we wish them much gardening success with their new garden set and compost bin!
